The Impact of Solar Storms

Impact of Solar Storms Down to Earth's Surface - Coronal Mass Injection (CME), a storm from the solar surface is expected to partially disrupt satellite communications and power on earth. Impact of the biggest storm in seven years from the Sun's surface has begun to reach the Earth, but it will not be a threat to living creatures on this planet.

U.S. National Weather Service said the blast of solar radiation, which is called Coronal Mass Ejection or CME, is likely to disrupt some communications satellites and electrical ground when it peaked today. Bad weather in space is expected to last until Wednesday.

America's weather agency said the CME this week comes from a small X-ray bursts that explode on the surface of the Sun on Monday morning. Finally the sun produces a storm as strong as it is in May of 2005.

The sun is entering a period of escalating violence in the normal 11-year cycle. Activity called solar maximum occurs periodically, is expected to peak in 2013.
